Data Sources & Attribution

• Federal: the U.S. government's public contract opportunity feed, covering solicitations, sources sought, and award notices.
• State: statewide procurement portals and open-data endpoints published by individual states.
• Local and education: county, city, school district, and university purchasing portals, including shared portal providers used by many agencies.
• Public authorities: transit, utility, port, housing, and healthcare authorities that publish bids openly.

• Ingest: each source is polled on a schedule and raw records are stored exactly as received.
• Normalize: fields such as agency, codes, dates, set-asides, and value ranges are mapped to a single shared shape.
• Deduplicate: the same notice republished across portals is merged into one opportunity using a stable identifier.
• Match: normalized opportunities are scored against each business profile so results are ranked, not just listed.

Federal sources sync at least daily, and most state, local, and education sources sync on an hourly or daily cadence depending on what the portal supports. Each opportunity shows when it was last updated. See Data Coverage for what is live today.
